Autograph letter signed, dated : [London], 13 December 1733, to John Ludford in Arbury (near Coventry), 1733 Dec. 13.

Saying that if he kept two servants the person Ludford recommends would probably be very useful, but as he keeps only one servant "some parts of my business wou'd by no means suit" the second servant, "particularly the care of my Horses." The postscript reads: "How two Opera Houses will subsist after Christmas, I can't tell; but at present we are at some difficulty for the support of one; & Mr. Handel has been forc'd to drop his Opera three nights for want of company."
